Kindergarten/First Grade Team Teaching Loop

Our kindergarten class works as one team. Mrs. Gariboldi is the lead math/science teacher and Mrs. Parker is the lead literacy teacher. We both have a passion for working with young children and creating an environment that encourages cooperation. It is our goal to have children become life long learners!

So much to celebrate!

We earned another PBIS celebration! We celebrated by taking a walk to the Parker family sugar house and getting a taste of fresh maple syrup.

Today we had a wonderful 4-winds lesson on birds nests. It started with a puppet show.

We had a great 4-winds lesson today on birds nests. It started with a puppet show. Then we examined nests carefully and drew them.

We went for a walk outside to collect nest materials. Then we were able to build our own nests! We learned that it is hard work to be a bird.

What a beautiful spring day in Vermont! The kindergarten students were able to soak up the sunshine ( and the snow melt) as they participated in our ECO afternoon. We have been learning about river otters and their habitat. Today during ECO the kids built river otter dens in the forest and later became otters as they played and slid on their bellies! Enjoy the pictures from the super fun, gorgeous afternoon!
