Hi Families! We have so many upcoming, exciting events happening in kindergarten! The first is that we will be making boats tomorrow. These boats should be able to hold a ping pong ball and float! If you have any boat making materials that we could use, please send them in tomorrow! The materials can be anything from Popsicle sticks to tin foil. We will build from our supplies we get! Thank you!
Today we investigated sinking and floating. The kids made predictions about which items would float, and which would sink and then they tested them. Here are some photos from the activity:
We have our walking field trip to Mallory brook on Wednesday. Please make sure your child is prepared with a lunch, snack, water,and appropriate walking shoes. We will be on a trail. Students should also have shoes that they can wear in the water. It would great if you could apply any sunscreen and insect repellent on your child before they come to school. We will reapply if needed.
We want to remind you that we have a celebration of learning and appreciation breakfast scheduled for Thursday morning at 10:00. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
We have our Boulder Beach field trip scheduled for Tuesday June 17th with a rain date of the 18th. You may send in a life vest for your child. That would be totally fine! It is optional.
